Engagement Formats (return to top)

Single talk engagements are certainly possible, but multi-session engagements are most effective. The following is a list of typical engagements:

    · Sunday morning services + a special Sunday evening seminar
    · Saturday morning or evening seminar
    · All-day Saturday seminar
    · Sunday services + a Monday evening seminar
    · Multi-session, weekday evening seminar
    · Multi-session, weekday daytime seminar

A typical Saturday seminar might look something like the following:

2 Session Series

4 Session Series

Session 1 (45-minutes)

15 minute break
Session 2 (45-minutes)
Session 1 (45-minutes)

15 minute break
Session 2 (45-minutes)
   Lunch (90 minutes)

Session 3 (45-minutes)

15 minute break
Session 4 (45-minutes)

Question & Answer periods are optional for each of the sessions, but highly recommended.

A typical Sunday/Monday seminar might look like the following:
Sunday Morning Service
Sunday Evening Service/Session(s)
Monday Evening Session(s)
The Sunday morning service would lay the foundation for the entire seminar, focusing on the authority of Scripture and why this topic is important to our understanding of the rest of the Bible and for evangelism.
Sunday evening can be incorporated into an evening service or as a stand-alone seminar (in case the church does not normally have an evening service.  It can consist of a single talk, or two talks with a brief break in between.

Monday evening is typically geared towards outreach.  People are encouraged to invite their friends, neighbors, co-workers, relatives, etc. to this session in particular, because it will be largely focused on what science has to say about the whole issue of creation/evolution, which is what a skeptic or seeker is typically more interested in hearing.

Session Lengths (return to top)

Session times can vary between 30 and 90 minutes. The ideal length of an individual session/talk would be 45-60 minutes, but each session can be as brief as 30 minutes if need be. A “Question & Answer” period is desirable if at all possible and has proven to be the highlight of each engagement. These times can be incorporated into the end of the standard session time, or as an addendum to the end, or even as an entirely separate session, which greatly enhances its effectiveness.

Cost  (return to top)

The Creation Education Center is a “faith-based ministry” and relies on regular supporters, as well as free-will offerings and donations for support. There are no official fees associated with the engagements, but we do accept free-will offerings (or whatever the church or organization deems appropriate). These funds are crucial to sustaining this ministry and we trust that God will supply our needs through His people. We do ask that any actual travel expenses be covered by the hosting organization (e.g. airfare, lodging, rental car, or gasoline – if traveling a significant distance by personal vehicle, etc.).
